PETITION

As previously investigated through one of our Case Study articles, C02gether recognized the need for local governments to act on reducing the overlooked carbon footprint of large-scale concerts, sports events and festivals. Since accurate measurement and transparent reporting is the first step to hosting a zero-carbon gathering event, we petitioned the Songpa-gu government, where concerts and sports events are often held in its Olympic Park, to mandate the release of carbon reports when large gatherings are held. Attaining 1000+ signatures, our petition passed the threshold for the Songpa-gu mayor to respond and act for this cause.
