LETTER FROM THE FOUNDER

Dear all who deeply care about our planet,

My name is Minju Chung, and it is my honor to welcome you to Carbon Zero Together (C02gether). Whether you are a long-time climate advocate or just beginning to explore climate action, thank you for your interest in our club.

Our club was born out of a need: the need to replace empty climate promises with bold, immediate steps to make the world a more sustainable place for all. In an era of globalization, where domestic and international policies shape our interconnected world, climate action is no longer just about protests but about policy influence, systemic change, and collaborative solutions. Guided by justice and focused on the future generations, we fight for the net-zero future by spreading news about innovative climate technologies and nations' climate goals and policies across the world.

At C02gether, we believe informed advocacy, community engagement, and youth leadership are essential to driving real change. Through newsletters, meaningful dialogue with policymakers and stakeholders, and hands-on climate projects, we aim to amplify youth voices. Join us in our journey toward a sustainable, net-zero future in Korea, China and the larger world.

VISION

C02gether envisions a world that achieves net zero, and wishes to contribute to Korea's progress in achieving its 2050 net zero goal through youth climate advocacy. Our most ambitious goal is to submit a petition advocating for policy changes in Korea's currently weak and underdeveloped Emission Trading System, which we strongly believe would play a substantial role in accomplishing carbon neutrality.

MISSION

Together with passionate and inspiring young climate leaders, we aim to undo the climate crisis and build a more sustainable and equitable world for all, particularly for those who are disproportionately impacted by climate change. Through networking and policy influence, we pursue climate advocacy that accelerates Korea's progress in achieving carbon neutrality, hoping to make a concrete path to net zero for the future generations to come.

Meet Our Team

Founding President

Minju Chung

Minju is a junior at Seoul International School who is passionate about environmental policymaking. Combined with her abundant leadership experience in her school's newspaper, magazine, and model UN, she hopes to successfully lead C02gether in contributing to Korea's progress on achieving net-zero through journalism and policy dialogue.

Vice President

Claire Baek

Claire Baek is a rising sophomore with a deep appreciation for plants, trees, and the natural environment. Motivated by a commitment to protect nature amid ongoing environmental challenges, she actively works to raise awareness and promote sustainable solutions. Outside of her environmental interests, Claire enjoys songwriting and watching movies in her free time.

Digital Media Director

Justin Chun

Justin Chun is a junior at Seoul International School with a strong interest in digital design, web development, and technology-driven advocacy. He is responsible for managing C02gether’s website and digital media platforms, ensuring that the organization’s mission, campaigns, and research are communicated clearly and engagingly to a wide audience.

Design Director

Haeun (Regina) Kim

Regina Kim is a student from South Korea. An environmental writer and artist, she has previously collaborated with RE100 and the local government on recycling campaigns. In her free time, Regina enjoys amateur ballet and taking walks with her dog.

Managing Editor

Aaron Cha

Aaron Cha is a junior at a Seoul International School and the Managing Editor for C02gether. As the managing editor, he oversees quality and the coherence of C02gether’s writing content, ensuring that every publication effectively meets our mission and values. Aaron has a strong interest in climate policy and journalism.

Sally Kim

Sally Kim is a junior at the International School of Beijing with a strong passion for both biology and writing. Her commitment to sustainability developed through research and biology projects. With her leadership experience and confidence in her team, Sally believes that C02gether has the potential to make a meaningful impact in raising awareness and addressing environmental issues in China.

Junsoo Lee

Junsoo Lee is a junior at the International School of Beijing and a passionate advocate for environmental sustainability, media literacy, and youth leadership. With his diverse experience across environmental advocacy, media, and education, Junsoo aims to help C02gether amplify its message of collective climate action and inspire meaningful change among youth communities.

Managing Editor

Katrina Armalovica

Katrina Armalovica is a G11 student at the International School of Beijing. Her passion for global issues drives her involvement in Model UN conferences and advocacy for underrepresented causes. Committed to raising awareness about gender inequality and environmental challenges, she actively shares her insights through writing. Currently, she serves as the managing editor.

PR Manager

Bubu Sun

Bubu Sun, a student at Shekou International School, is highly dedicated to the role in public relations and graphic design, leveraging her skills to deliver impactful communication strategies and visually compelling designs. With her extensive expertise, Bubu brings strong capabilities to ensure C02gether reaches its full potential in gaining media exposure and achieving the goal of environmental advocacy.

Cayla Yen

As a PR Manager for C02gether, Cayla brings her passion for graphic design and visual storytelling to help communicate the team's mission. With experience owning a popular platform, she is confident to create engaging content that connects with our audience. Cayla is excited to contribute her design expertise to this important cause and help raise awareness of environmental issues.
